Who we are

LA Balloon Decor plans and installs balloon decorations and event styling in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. This site is the way we take quote requests and keep clients up to date on them.

What we collect

When you send a quote request: your name, email address, phone number, the details you enter about the event (type, date, city, venue, guest count, the items you picked and their quantities), and anything you add in the notes field.

If you create an account: your email address, your name, and a password we store only as a cryptographic hash, never as text. If you sign in with Google instead, we receive your name and email address from Google. If you add a passkey, we store only its public key, and if you turn on two-factor authentication, we store the secret needed to verify your codes and your backup codes.

While you are signed in: the IP address and browser details attached to your session, which let you review and end active sign-ins and let us spot suspicious access.

As you browse: usage information collected through cookies, described in the analytics section below.

Why we use it

To answer your request, prepare a quote, and plan and deliver the event you asked about. To alert our team that a new request arrived or that one was cancelled. To keep your account and your requests secure and available only to you. To understand which parts of the site people actually use, so we can improve them.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

Cookies and analytics

Sign-in cookies are essential: without them the site cannot keep you logged in. They are set only after you sign in.

We also use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies and reports aggregate statistics such as which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what kind of device they use. It does not tell us who you are by name.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site works without analytics cookies; only the sign-in cookies are required.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers, and each of them only handles what it needs to do its job: Vercel (site hosting), Neon (database), Amazon Web Services (image storage), Resend (transactional email such as verification and password reset), Cloudflare Turnstile (the check that keeps bots out of our forms), Google Analytics (site statistics), and Telegram, which we use to notify our own team about new and cancelled requests.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information otherwise only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests while we work on them and afterwards as a record of the events we delivered. Account information is kept while your account exists.

You can cancel a request from your account at any time while it is still open, which deletes it from our database. To have your account and remaining information removed, email us and we will take care of it.

Your rights

If you live in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask for a copy of it, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising any of these.

Email hello@laballoondecor.com to make a request. We will ask you to confirm you are the person the information belongs to, and then respond within the time the law allows.

Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted. Passwords are stored as hashes, never as text, and you can add a passkey or two-factor authentication to your account for stronger protection.

No service can promise perfect security, so please use a password you do not reuse anywhere else, and tell us if you notice anything unexpected on your account.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning an event. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child gave us their information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Significant changes will be mentioned on the site.
